We are A.C.T.S., an organization committed to raise a young generation of talented artists. We aim to train the youth in the field of performing arts by conducting different dance related events thus helping them develop their skills in this field.

WHAT WE DO

We conduct different dance workshops by tying up with different schools and dance studios, producing a Dance Recital Concert at the end of the workshops.

HISTORY

Formerly known as ACTS Company, ACTS (with no acronym then yet) was formed in 2004 by five dancers from Company of One P.E. Dance troupe of Miriam College namely Jane Guevara, Janina Aluyen, Dianne Sulit, Ellaine Cruz and Apple S. Eyay. The idea to formalize a company conducting workshop came when an opportunity to teach street dance in the Footworx Fitness Studio at Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall and Circle C came. [The name ACTS was literally derived from one of the Book in the Bible which is the ACTS (of the Apostles) of the New Testament. Just like the disciples being sent out into the world, having only with them everything Jesus told them and being guided only by the Holy Spirit, they were ready to teach and spread the word. With this, the ACTS founders found themselves in a similar situation. Being sent out into the secular world to teach and share their skills and talents, which they recognize from the very beginning to be given by God and to be used for His greater glory; Having no funds and only their faith and talent. Thus, the girls decided to call themselves the ACTS Company. After conducting fruitful workshops, having passionate students, and staging a successful recital at a humbling venue – the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall Activity Area, the ACTS Company was convinced that that wouldn’t be the first and last time to happen. All the more were they inspired and strengthen in faith to do it again. After summer, while the workshop is still off season, the ACTS Company then started to formalize everything –forming the vision-mission, registering the company, forming the organization committee, tying up with other dance studios. Come June 2005, the first major Production came out from the summer 2005 workshops and so it was entitled “FIRST”.

Before the year 2006 came, a redefining and merging of visions with other good friends took place. THREE STRANDS INTERNATIONAL, a group with the similar vision and whose members are co-members as well of the founders in the dance group LIVE CREW, then were welcomed. And so, the “acronym-less” ACTS had put on a new meaning. Thus, the birth of a bigger family called A Company of Three Strands Events Management. With this came other big productions such as the CHRISTMAS IN D’ STREET, a Dance Concert in 2005 and of course, the yearly dance recital culminating the summer 2006 workshops - the TAKE TWO, which took place last June 2006.
